Is There An Easy Way To Import a WAB (Windows Address Book) From OE to Outlook 2000 or 2003?

P

Peter D

Situation: User wants to move form OE 6.xxx to Outlook 2003. We used File ->
Import in Outllok 2003 to import the e-mail folders and contents (no
problem) and the Mail Accounts. The problem is that he created Folders in
the Address Book in OE and would liek those folders to be in the Outlook
Contacts. OE is using a WAB and Outlook isn't. Is there any way to copy the
addresses with the "Folder" to Outlook. Both OE and Outlook 2003 are ont eh
same computer.

He has a laptop with Outlook 2000, so if that is better to create the
addresses (and then copy them back to Outlook 2003 over the network), we can
do that.
Thanks

Export the .wab to a .csv file and import that. Groups created in Outlook
Express do not transfer to Outlook.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal

I know of no way to leave the folder structure intact. Only the main Contact
folder in OE will be imported with Outlook's import function.

Then the above is no different than using the Outlook Import function, yes?

Outlook will not import sub-folders of contacts nor will it import "groups"
from OE. Interpret it as you will.

OK, fair enough. Help me out here. Just type "YES" or "NO" as appropriate.
:)

1) Export the .wab to a .csv file and import that in order to get the
contents of the folders in a WAB into Outlook Contacts.

2) It doens't matter what you do, you cannot get the contents if a WAB
Folder into Outlook by any process similar to "import".

Thank you.
