Is there a freeware program (Read inside)

I some programs on my C:\ drive that I would like to back up to CD. I
am wondering if there is a freeware program that could tell me if there
are any files anywhere in the C:\Windows folder that belong to these
programs? That way I could back up everything, and not be sorry later
on.

You can find that with Dependancy Walker
http://www.dependencywalker.com/
but that is not a good way to backup programs, you would do better to butn
install version on cd or, if you want to skip install, to make a partition
image

My son gave this computer to me as mine has died. There are some
programs like Street Atlas USA 2004 that I like, and there is no
install
program. Son can't find original cd either. I will try this one out.

I do not know how to do that. Is there somewhere I can read about it,
and learn how to make a partition?
