Is there a check box in Windows to...

P

Papa

PCR went into the local newspaper office to make arrangements for the
obituary for Papa, his recently deceased buddy. The obituary editor informed
him that obituaries cost 50 cents a word. PCR paused, reflected and then
said, "Well then, let it read "Papa died."".

Amused at the man's thrift, the editor told him that there is a 6 word
minimum for all obituaries. After much consideration over a lengthy period
of time, PCR finally said, "In that case, let it read, "Papa died; for sale
1983 Pick-up."".

I'm outa here!

I never thought of that. So, I told him you might live after all. Now, I
don't know what to do! But you are right. Better get out of this thread,
& stay away from Kelly, until I've made a final decision! OK, bye.

Ah, ha, ha, Ha.. Ha.. Har, Harper is such a jokester! I could always
switch his name for Papa's in this obituary, if you want!

So, what are you doing with Longhorn? I fully expect & hope it will be a
panacea for me, on the day this Win98 crumbles to dust.

But you must tell me whose grave to spread it over, Papa or especially
Ha, Ha, Har, Harper, that jokester extraordinaire!

Dude, you gotta get over this whole XP thing. I mean, really. I've seen,
like, too many lives tragically toasted because they couldn't, like, keep
up.

Longhorn is going to be a totally tubular new paradigm shift, much in the
same way that XP is a totally tubular paradigm shift from 9x. And man, do
you know what happens when you put a paradigm on top of a paradigm?

No, it ain't forty cents. :)

P

PCR

I am a computer hopper, Harper, have always been, from back in my
Commodore days. Somewhere along the line, I began to hop farther than
normal, though, landing no nearer than TWO generations away!

So, looks like I'll come down on Kelly's paradigm this time, instead of
yours!

Oh dear, I cannot help myself. I must get in on this... Somehow
all you folks got away from the OP's original question... My answer
would be to afix four slightly curved pieces of concrete rebar at
90 degree angles on the outside of the case and attach a long enough
piece of rope to reach the bottom of your favorite fishing hole and
VOILA, you have a very inexpensive anchor. Don't bother putting
a tag-line on the anchor. If it won't come up with a moderate tug,
you are only out the cost of the rope.. I would however before the
initial drop, at least save the power cord... It is handy to have a spare.

I forgot about the checkbox, but there is a place to put

I suppose a guy should dump the cookies before the drop
