Yes ... it's called a Checkout, and you will find it at an online PC store.
You will also need a magic 16-digit number to unlock the credit 'fix'!

Yes, but it doesn't work...see Knowledge Base Article KB911911 "What That
Odd Box Means, Why You Should Never Put A Tick In It And How To Recover Your
Computer From Your Neighbours Roof If You Do, Not Promising Anything, Mind".

No, but continue dreaming as you pay the credit card bill after you buy one.

Yes, it is the GO button that will take you to
www.newegg.com www.dell.com
or http://www.falcon-nw.com/index.asp for examples.

I never saw that checkbox on a soiled one.

Umm, are you OK? The first Pentium Processors released didn't come about
until 3/1993, and they were the brands that clocked at 60-66MHZ. The first
P166 MMX didn't come about until Jan. 1997!

In any case, if you're not willing to use credit to purchase to what you
want, I would question whether you should be using a PC considering your
post !!

Papa

Absolutely. Just click on the "Upgrade to P4" button on your tool bar.
However, your operating system will still just be W98. To update your OS to
XP, click on Start / Run / XP Me Now.

Don't humor him, Papa! They might come & take YOU away, instead!

I'm trying to remember now where I saw the date, (...on that 2nd hand
P166mmx system box), that my brother bought for his kids a few weeks ago,
that had to be reinstalled with TLC -:). "1992" was on it somewhere, so
perhaps it's innards had been replaced a few times ! I had a P166mmx on a
Gigabyte board a very long time ago ...actually '97 / '98, as you say,
sounds about right. I've gradually been upgrading nearly all my relations
PC's - the thing is that it's a VERY expensive affair, mainly because I'm
an "Uncle" and there seems to be a general preconception among my nephews
and nieces that everything from me is always completely free !!

I'm not sure what you're on about regarding "credit," I always buy my parts
cash. I currently have a honey of an AMD, (in my Lian-Li case that cost me
aboout £160, and now, I think they're less than half that).
