I want to use Net Transport to download real audio programs since it
support RTSP-Real-Time Streaming Protocol ( and others...) downloads

somewhere in the website the author writes...

"Net Transport is a shareware, you can use it for free. But if you wish
to express your appreciation for my work, and hope I can continue
developing and supporting it over the years, please buy it. Thanks!"

so... i dont get it. Its free or not? Shareware or Freeware?
He says shareware, but also that we can use it for free.

thanks

The previous version (v1.87) was fully freeware. This version (v1.90)
offers similar features to the previous one free, but now it has
extras that you must pay to use.

I'm still using v1.87, which is an excellent downloader. Haven't tried
the new one yet.

Hope this helps.

I'm still using 1.53.197 which was fully free and works great. Does
1.87 have any extra features that might be worth looking into?

I installed 1.90 a few days ago and have been nagged by it three times
about paying (seems the dialog pops up at random some time after the
program has been open). This reinforces the view that 1.90 at least is
shareware, and if history is any indication this will become less
ambiguous in future versions.

I never observed these nags in 1.87, and will be switching back to it.
Grab that version while you can.
