them off. You should do the same. It is a good program.

If you aren't sure, run both before you change the Registry. If both say
to get rid of something, you can probably take it to the bank. You might
also check out MRU-Blaster:

I run CCleaner and MRU-Blaster automatically on Startup/Shutdown, and
run Easy Cleaner from time to time. As is always the case, when you are
mucking around with the Registry:
1) Keep your tools up-to-date.
2) Backup your Registry ... OFTEN.
3) Create a System Restore Point/Disk.
At any rate, that is what works for me,

I can't remember what the defaults are, but I had a bit of trouble with it
at first as it deleted stuff I like, like History.
Of course it doesn't do permanent harm, but you might like to check what it
intends to delete; you don't *have* to delete anything you don't want to.

I too love CrapCleaner. You naturally have to be careful with the
options you select, so be sure to read & understand all options, just
don't blindly OK the presets [tho I think they're fine for most users].
Eg, it can wipe out auto-fill forms if you wish, but here you get a
popup warning asking if you really want to do this.
Another nice feature is being able to select eg, cookies to keep.
Still another nice feature is an uninstaller. Nice, faster than most
Windows bulit-in uninstallers which can take forever to load. One
thing, though, with CC is that after the uninstall I believe it still
leaves the pointer to that uninstaller. But, then as a second step, you
have to re-select the item and then click to remove the listing as an
uninstall. Some people may want to keep a particular listing in CC's
uninstaller list, but I think for most users, getting rid of both
should be an option you can select. Too, you can just select to not
list the uninstall [delete the listing] which may be useful for some
people, eg, not wanting other users to be able to quick access the
prog's uninstaller.
One final thing: remember to reboot, as some of the junk deleter, eg,
the *.dat files, won't actually be deleter until a reboot.

The first time it ran I found a zillion non used extensions, is it

Not always. I did this once and some of those "non-used" extensions
turned out to be vital to the functioning of a commercial graphics
program I have. Luckily, I'd set a restore point prior to deleting them.
