IP4200 Ink usage

Hi,

I have had my Pixma IP4200 and I am very happy with it, its quick, can
print double sided and CD's/DVD's.

The pigmented ink is being used the fastest and considering its in the
largest tank, I assume its for standard black printing, likewise the
cyan/yellow/magenta are also running out and I can understand that to,
but what is the other black ink "CLI-8BK" is used for....

sorry meant to add the CLI-8BK tank is still full

Only activated when using Photo Paper selection in the driver

Thanks for the info. I've printed a number of photos, obviously very
few have black in them...
