IP Address and Port?

Im using limewire Pro and trying to acheive Direct conection between mates to
share songs. To connect to someone u need to know ur IP and theres.
Sometimes, limewire says: "For a friend to connect to you he must enter
(example) 204.15.16.203:3345" except it is really ur IP address.

My Problem is sometimes it doesnt tell you this. I know how to find the IP
address under my dialup connection details... But i dont know where to find
the port after the ip address. e.g in that case, :3345

Is this port listed anywhere for users to see?

The message is telling you that your port 3345 must be open. You need to
open it in your firewall. Read some of the support pages at Limewire,
starting with this one:

What port have you set limewire to use? That's the port that you add after
your IP. So if you set your firewall to permit limewire to use say 49876 then
that's the port that you put in after your IP Address. Personally I threw
Limewire in the garbage ages ago as it's so virus prone and %70 of files
contain viruses. I now use torrents. TTFN.
