invalid ini file

Everytime I start my laptop I get a message saying invalid ini file booting
from c windows.How do I correct this.

Thanks for your help.
The trouble is I bought my laptop running xp but got no cd with it and cant
get hold of it the advice given on the link says about inserting cd so it
looks like I am stuck.
