Invalid argument error on import

I'm importing one table from a MAS/90 database (accounting package) using the
ODBC driver supplied by the MAS/90 folks, and after several minutes, I get an
invalid argument error. I close the databases, compact and repair my Access
database, and re-open and re-import, with the same effect. Other smaller
tables import (& link) just fine. I am simultaneously questioning the MAS/90
folks about this, but while I'm waiting, is there a filesize limit for
importing tables into Access?

I kept looking until I discovered that an Access database can't exceed 2 GB
in size, and my import operation would have exceeded that. So I created
separate .mdb files for each of the larger tables I was importing, and that
seems to be working. I'm sure there's a better way, especially since my
(linked) queries take forever to run.
