Interrupted upgrade to SP2 running windows xp pro

Hi, I was in the middle of upgrading to sp2, when the power went out. Now
when I try to start my pc it reaches the windows xp screen then shuts and
restarts over and over again. What happened? When I try to start in safe mode
it reaches the screen where the screen fills up with letters? It restarts
again and again. How do I get it restarted again? Thanks.

Tried using CD to reinstall WinXP on top of itself--I'm assuming XP, of
course? That's the 1st thing I'd try, even before asking on this forum.
You could save all your files, ap's etc. But, that's just my opinion. HTH,

Hi, thanks but I cant get it to stop constantly restarting. It wont turn on
to the main windows screen. I want to try what you suggest but it won't stop
restarting itself right at the windows xp screen. Please someone help.

Sadly, my guess is that the only thing to do now is clean install
Windows.
