Internet Explorer

I cannot connect to the internet thru my internet
explorer. When I click on internet explorer, I get the
following message: "Internet Explorer has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience". The report provides the following
information:
AppName: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: winshow.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.1
Offset: 00009901

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am getting the exact problem. My connection is fine and
when restart in safe mode it works just fine. Any ideas
ou there. Dave.

I just made a post to this community with what appears to
be the exact same problem as you are reporting.....has
anyone found a solution? I must have sent over 200
error reports to MSN. ARRGH!

i was having the same trouble a few weeks ago.someone in this ng suggested i
went into tools/internet options, and selected the advanced tab. then
uncheck the ' enable 3rd party browser extensions' i did this and internet
explorer is now opening fine.
