Internet Explorer will not open

I am unable to open Internet Explorer. I have tried by
various methods like numerious shortcuts, and the actual
file through Windows Explorer. When I click either file,
nothing happens. Not even a window pops up. It does seem
like it is starting to open for a second, and then nothing
happens. I have tried uninstalling this program until it is
not registered through the control panels 'add/remove
programs' feature. I have reinstalled this multiple times,
but the same result occurs, nothing. I am using an admin
account on my computer system, and for the meantime, I've
been using Netscape, or the Windows Explorers address bar
to get around the internet. Does anyone have any
suguesstions, or ideas on how to atleast get IE back to
original state?

Here'a what worked for me:
(got it from yesterday problems

start,control panal,internet connections,internet options
,advanced,uncheck'enable third party browser extensions',apply.
now run spybot safer-networking.org
ad-aware lavasoftusa.com

I already use ad-aware, the setting of checking the 3rd
party browser was what made it effective. Thanks again!
