Can't Open Internet Explorer

Please help. When I double click on the Internet Explorer
icon, the busy symbol shows, then nothing happens. I have
confirmed that my internet connection is fine, and I have
downloaded Netscape for the time being. Any ideas?

Hi,
This is probably being caused by third party programs- malware/parasites.

From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." That should allow IE to work.
You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.

Then download, install, *update* and run Ad-aware from
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
