This is strange!

My computer run perfectly fine. Fast as usual. Until I
try to open anything on the net with Internet Explorer.
It acts like it's on dial-up!

I checked everything I know of. I restored my system
back to a time were it wasn't like this. I reset all my
connection settings. I called my ISP (Cox cable)and they
said my connection tested perfectly fine, actually pretty
fast. I reinstalled Internet Explorer. I ran my Windows
cd and repaired windows. But it's still acting like it a
dial-up connection!

Any ideas? I'll provide more info if needed. HELP!!!!

Have you tried the spyware removal tools - Adaware and/or Spybot. Excessive
spyware can slow down IE

Yes. Infact that is the only thing I can think of that I
did right before this started to happen. I ran Ad-aware
and Search and Destroy just before I started to notice
the slow down.

Now if I open any folder and enter an internet address
and surf from there everything is speedy as normal. It's
just through IE that I get the slow down. Should I
completely uninstall IE and install a fresh copy? I
don't know how I would do that. I guess I could use a
folder address bar to browse to IE's website and install
from there but how do I uninstall Internet Explorer?

Keep the idea's coming!
