internet explorer problems

while browsing internet,When I type the name of the site
as CNN in the address bar and then press "CONTROL-ENTER'
together, it used to pick the page
as "http:\\www.cnn.com".This avoids typing the complete
address of the website.
Now,whenever I do this, it takes me directly to the LYCOS
search engine and displays the search listings without
going directly to the website.
Can somone help please removing this out ?
