internet explorer problem

right i had a few problems with my pc and decided to upgrade with my windows
xp pro setup disk since then i have had a problem with ie,
basically my internet explorer completly disappeared i can see it in program
files but not in add/ remove programs, i tried to reinstall ie 7 but it said
i have already got it and to uninstall it first but as i said i cant find it
in add/remove programs and even when i checked the updates box still nothing,

You have made several mistakes here:

You didn't provide any details about the "few problems" you're having
with your PC, so no one can help you solve them.

You attempted to upgrade a damaged installation of Windows, which only
makes things worse.

You installed beta software on your main computer without first backing
up your system.

In my opinion, your surest route back to a working computer is to backup
your data files and reinstall your software.
