Internet Explorer Homepage

I'm trying to change my homepage from the default homepage but I can't
seem to get it changed. I've "changed" it in the internet options,
but when I click ok and click the home button in IE, it changes back to
the default homepage. Anyone know how to fix this?

Do you have Norton SystemWorks? If so, under Options, Antivirus, see if you
have Home Page Protection feature enabled.

I've never used Norton systemworks. It's basically a clean install. I
did it earlier today. So far I have Windows, ZoneAlarm, DX upgraded,
and vid card drivers installed. I'm still updating windows.

Look at the options in ZoneAlarm. It is one of the programs that
protects the homepage from being altered.

No help unfortunately. I've changed every setting I could find in zone
alarm and even turned it off. Still can't get it to change. I might
just reformat again tomorrow and change the homepage before doing
anything else.

Looking at other threads with the same problem, turning it off may not
be enough.
Try uninstalling ZoneAlarm, changing the homepage and reinstalling ZA.

Well, just uninstalled it and it worked. I've never had that problem
with it before. Is this a new thing for zonealarm?

You know, I just had to buy another router/switch, because of...well it was
my fault
that my old one needed replaced. But I got a Linksys wired 4 port
router/switch for $30
at office depot. (I live in the great USA) As the old saying goes " whatever
you can do in hardware
is ALWAYS better than software"

I'll never use a software firewall, haven't for years and have never had a
problem.
Just my 2¢
