Internet Explorer Home Page Set Up

Can anyone help me, I am going mad with this problem. When opening up Internet Explorer on the desk top short cut, my home page regardless seems to open up in about:blank, this comes up as Microsoft search the web page all the time, I have tried setting my home page to Google.com but the above keeps Re-appearing/setting its self again as my home page.

Please help me peps

I am having the same problem - when I open Internet Explorer it always defaults to thehomw page of about:blank - did you manage to solve it?
