Internet Explorer History Not Removed

On occaison, I will clear my IE history via tools>internet options>clear
history and the history is not actually removed.

I have to go to C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\History
and manually delete the history items.

I've noticed that the Track Erase feature in Microsoft Anti-Spyware also
fails to remove the history at times.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

It could be a couple of things causing the problem. Try the following and
see if it helps:

CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/
or
http://www.download.com/CCleaner/3000-2144-10315544.html

and/or...

History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.

To create a new History Folder
