Internet Explorer hangs on certain Websites

The past week, when I visit particular Websites, they seem to 'hang', like
they load to a certain point and then that's it, whilst most other websites
are fine. I have run 3 different virus/adware programmes which haven't
helped. I've also tried disabling/enabling the add-ons and I've looked at the
system registry which still hasn't helped! The sites I'm having trouble with
are www.bigpondmusic.com.au and www.ninemsnmusic.com.au and there is another
music purchase website as well. I have installed all updates, and am running
IE 6.0. Help!! I am on the verge of Formatting my C drive just so that
something will work!

Clear the IE cache. (IE, tools, Options, Delete Files button, include offline content.)

Pictures do not appear as expected, or you receive an error message when you open an HTML file :

Go to Start/Run, and type: REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL Then open IE, Tools menu, Options, Program Tab, and click the "Reset Web Settings"
button.

I have this problem as well. I ran antivirus and spyware just like
retro_betty. I just tried clearing the cache and running the .dll. I had this
problem before and I formatted the hard drive. It worked for a while, until I
put on my music collection. I deleted all the music and left it on an mp3
player and tried again. Once again, it worked for a while until I tried to
play the music through the mp3 player on the computer. I deleted the library
out of Windows Media Player and ran a couple of adware and spyware programs.
I ran my antivirus, and I don't have any viruses or adware. This is the
second try for me to even write this. I really dont want to format my hard
drive again but I'm desperate to get this working so I'm hoping I can get one
more solution idea before I go to town on this hard drive. My computer is and
HP pavilion zv5000 laptop with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ processor. I have 512
MB RAM and a 56 GB hard drive. My wireless network adapter is a Broadcom
802.11 b/g. I have also tried plugging a network cable into the computer...
but to no avail. please help me.
