Hello,
My IE6.0 is hanging/freezing for 1 minute every time
another page loads. The page looks normal but I cannot

Hey Bud ...

Here's the fix that worked for me and apparently it's spyware ( netpal )
that clicks the option.

"Here's the fix that worked for me
Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced then UNCHECK "Enable
third-party browser extensions"
then reboot.
Worked for me hope it helps someone else.

I am having the same exact probs. Seems to have just
started yesterday. I've also run spybot, wincleaner,
performed an most recent Windows XP SP1 update....still
having the same strange probs. Any help to correct this
problem sure would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi All...

Thanks to Lucky Dog , I hope it works for you also as i spent some time
trying to figure it out.
Also visit Symantec to clean further ( it's the NETPAL spyware )
The URL is: http://sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.netpal.html

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.
If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
