every time i try to launch IE -(now using IE7)- it freezes up and requires me
to "END NOW." Anyone suggest a quick fix?

Also...while I'm on here, thought I would ask this too - i'm using a Dell
Inspiron E1505 laptop and my external mouse has been locking up, and i was
told this may be a motherboard issue. i tried a new external mouse and it
worked great, no problems until 3 or 4 months later. not having as much
trouble with iPod or digital camera plugged into USB. Please suggest
solutions...willing to try anything before i send it away to never never
land. Thanks!!!

Are you referring to the USB situation? If so, I'm using one of the 4 USB
hubs / ports that came standard with the laptop.

Does the problem persist when all usb devices except the mouse are removed?

Seems that the mouse (right now) is the only thing not working. I've tried
using the mouse in all other ports and no luck. Several months ago (summer
07) when this began, I had intermittent problems with iPod and digital camera
when using USB ports. When I bought a new mouse, everything worked again
like a charm, I thought my troubles were solved, but now they're back.
External mouse not working at all currently.
