Internet Explorer 7.0 - Copying files to CD-RW

Since Internet Explorer 7.0 has been installed on my computer, files I copy
from My Documents to a CD-RW (or even a disk) appear as Read Only. When I
right click on Properties for the folder or file I wish to copy it had a
green dot on Read Only which even if removed won't allow a writeable copy to
be made. What can be done to produce a writeable copy on a CD-RW?

They've ALWAYS been read-only - CD ROM = CD *R*ead *O*nly *M*emory. Even on
a CDRW unless you have used third-party applications to format the CDRW for
packet writing....

See above - you need third-party software capable of formatting the CDRW for
packet writing. The native Windows CD burning function won't do this.
