My computer used to "automatically" connect to the internet at start-up. All
of a sudden, it has to be connected manually. Did I (or some dork reletive
that may have used my computer) do something that would cause it NOT to
connect each time?

What type of connection do you use?

Network card and Cat5 cable
Wireless Network card.
Wireless USB interface.
Other (Please specify)

I've been called "technology challenged" - so the best I can do is to say
that I have high speed internet through AT&T.

No problem, I'll provide a brief description.

Network card and Cat5 cable - Cable (about the size of a pencil in diameter)
that connects to the back of the computer and runs back to the router (box
with a number of steady or flashing lights) that ATT installing inside your
home.

Wireless Network card - Small antenna located on the back of your computer.

Wireless USB interface - About the size of you thumb, usually has one or two
flashing lights, plugs into the front or back of a desktop computer or into
the side of a laptop.

Thank You!
