Intermittent connectivity with 1 computer through DSL

I am having problems with my computer losing internet connection. I have to
reboot to get my connection back. I have noticed this happens randomly
whether I'm sending an e-mail or not doing anything. Alot of times I find
that I have lost connectivity overnight. I have installed sp2 but that was
several months ago and I can't remember if this problem occured before or
after the download. Is my NIC dying? Do I need a new one? Any suggestions
would be helpful! I am running Windows XP Home Edition and have Qwest DSL.
I have contacted Qwest and they say the problem is not on their end.

Thanks in advance, Kat

I apologize for the second post. After I posted the first time it said there
was an error posting and to try again later. I posted my question a second
time and that one sent. I did not realize the first one posted too. Sorry.
