IntelliPoint 5.0 software

I've brought a wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 with
tilt wheel, and installed the 5.0 IntelliPoint software
(IPoint). The mouse is working fine, all options are
working. The problem I have is that the new 5.0 IPoint
software only lets you assign the buttons to OS commands
and not to keystrokes. Both IPoint 3 and 4 utilised this
functionality, which meant I could assign my mouse button
to any keystroke I wished. This made using it for game
play was excellent!

Does anyone have a work around for this issue as I wish
to use this mouse for gaming purposes.

MSFT omitted a few very useful features with Intellipoint 5, another is the
cursor movement in relation to the mouse movement. They've received many
complaints and hopefully will bring out revised software. Don't know of any
work arounds.
