Intel Application Accelerator

T

Tyaan

I'm using Windows 2000 Professional on about 1400 machines. Some
genious decided to install Intel Application Accelerator on about 300
of them. Now, those machines are constantly plagued by double faults,
constant hard disk corruption, pagefile errors, dissapearing hard
disks, and have about a 5 times higher hard disk failure rate than the
other boxes. Using windbg to analyze the minidumps, I'm usually able
to trace the exception back to a device driver performing some sort of
I/O. About half the time it's the IAA IDE driver. Anyone else had
this kind of experience with IAA?

System Board, Intel S845WD1-E
Hard disks, 2 x Seagate ST340016A
Rest is generic 1U chassis, not much else.

Thanks
