Hi nculbert
Are you trying to open a document from a floppy disk? Or are you trying to
save to a floppy disk? This is a bad practice that very often ends up in
corrupt documents. The reason is that Word needs a stack of space to hold
temporary files of one kind or another.
Always use Windows Explorer to copy your document to the hard drive, open it
and work on it from there. When it's saved, use Windows Explorer to copy it
back to the floppy.
If you're not working from a floppy, then there could be some other error
occurring during the save operation, but Word has reported the wrong error
message.
Hope this helps.
