after installing windows xp sp1a, i checked out my
hardrive space and was shocked to find out that it drained
3gb of space. i uninstalled the service pack, but still
seem to have 3gb missing or unaccounted for... any
suggestions? Thanks.

try running the disk cleanup wizard, either from
programs>accessories>system tools or by right clicking on
your hard drive, choosing properties and then disk cleanup.

make sure you choose temp. files and any others you want-
it wont hurt, that should clear some of the junk out...
