installing Word 2000 on Xp pro

I have a new machine with Xp pro. I installed the trial version of Office
2007 and it works. I acquired and installed Word 2000 but am unable to get it
to run. I know it is good since I installed it on a laptop running Vista. I
suspect a conflict with the two wp programs but am unable to uninstall the
Office 2007. What I want is to use Word 2000 and forget about Office 2007.

If you installed Office 2007 recently, do a System Restore to a
date before the installation. After that, try reinstalling Word
2000.
