We got a computer donated, it has windows home xp on it we don't have the
orignal disk operating system so I'm trying to install Windows xp pro (oem
version) ,that I own, on it and It's telling me that the XP home I have on my
PC is newer then the XP Pro I am trying to install, and it wont' give me any
options to do the install. I cant afford a new windows xp, so is there a way
to do it.

First - is the Windows XP Professional already installed somewhere?
If so - according to the EULA - it cannot be transferred...

Secondly - an OEM version can only perform a CLEAN installation. Boot from
it.
