Installing SP2 over SP2 beta (RC2)

I was wondering if I have to first uninstall Service Pack
2 RC2 before installing the final version or if I could
install it over the beta with no problems. Any comments?

Hi Steve,
you need not un-install SP2RC2, to download the final version, as it
gets installed over this beta product.
However, if you have difficulties using SP2RC2 or if you wish to remove
SP2 beta product, you may un-install that through "Add/Remove Programs"
in your Control Panel.

Microsoft has said it is OK.
However I uninstalled RC-2 to help be sure all Beta code was gone
before installation.

You can install it over RC2. All has gone well in the substantial
number of cases I have heard of; the one very minor point is that RC2
put on an EULA.txt that says it is a '180 day trial version' (which it
was) and SP2 final does not remove it
