Do I need to uninstall WinXP-SP2-RC2 before installing WinXP-SP2 final?

Does anyone know for sure if you need to uninstall WinXP-SP2-RC2 beta
before installing WinXP-SP2 final?

No, Microsoft has stated it is not necessary to uninstall RC- or RC-2
before installing the final version.
However I suggest to uninstall any pre-release version first to help
be sure all Beta code is gone.
