I've been unable to install programs(cd), I receive the following msg:

16 bit windows subsystems

c:\\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for
running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications.

what's happened????????

See if your autoexec.nt is in c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. If not copy
it from c:\windows\repair.

Good luck

William,
Would you pls tell me how copy it? I found the autoexec.nt in
c:\windows\repair (size 2 KB) and I found it in c:\windows\I386 (size 1KB). I
did not find it in c:\windows\system32 How would I copy it from repair to
system 32? Thank you so much for your help!!!....Sam

right click on autoexec.nt in c:\windows\repair and select copy then go to
c:\windows\system32 and right click and select paste.

Thank you so much William, it worked! I was confused on how to paste, I was
afraid I would paste over system32 folder (replace it with autoexec.nt) so I
made a new folder then dragged the contents......probably the long way, but
without your help I had no idea what the problem was. This was the first
time I accessed this help & support. Thanks Again!!! - Sam
