Installing Nortons Internet Security 2004

Linda

I just installed WIndows XP Professional ed. on my home
computer. I also have the Nortons Internet Security 2004
software, but before I install it I am trying to find out
if instaling Nortons is going to cause me problems. I
have heard others say that their computers did not run
right after installing the Nortons Internet sercurity
software. Please provide me with your suggestions, and
thoughts.
Thank you,
Linda

I'm currently using Norton Internet Security 2004 have had no problems.
Be sure to uninstall any other antivirus program before installing it. Also,
since Norton includes an excellent firewall, be sure to disable XP's firewall
after installing Norton.

Linda;

There are many more people running Norton products without any issues
(myself included) than there are people with issues. I have Internet
Security, Norton AntiSpam, Norton Password Manager, Norton Ghost,
pcAnywhere, Norton Utilities and Norton CleanSweep all on this machine, and
I have no issues. The only ones who post in these newsgroups are those
having problems, and they are the minority. Just create a restore point
before installation; if you install and don't like it, uninstall the
software and then do a system restore.
