Install shield

Im trying to install software on my laptop, running XP
Prof so I can view digital photos. After I insert the CD,
it starts the installation prgram using install shield,
but then a error message box appears stating "1608: Unable
to create Installdriver instance, return code - 2147221164"

Can anyone help?

Is that software compatible with XP? At the installer doesn't sound like it
is?

I just recently had this problem also and I know that the software is compatible with windows xp any other suggestions
