Inserting Word Tables into Powerpoint from Word

I have a presentation that will ultimately be a poster about 3 ft. x 4f t..
I used a custom size and I am pasting text, graphs, tables etc. onto this
huge slide. I know this should be done in a page layout program but we don't
have one and apparently its been done before and sent to the printer with no
problem. When I paste a table from Word into this slide, the lines around the
table does not appear and the font in one column of the table is huge. Is
there a way to paste the tables from Word to powerpoint and have them look
exactly the same as it did in Word. I tried to paste into a text box but that
didn't work. I am using Office 2003

I have two of these to do and I 'm thinking I am going to have major problems.

Any help would be appreciated.

What I do is reformat the Word page after pasting it into PP

I open the object, take off all margins and resize the Word page to be the
same size (or as close as possible) to the size of the table iteself

If it looks distorted I go into the Printer Options and either check or
uncheck (it's been a while since I had this problem) the "Printer Resolution"
option

It is worth a try
