Inserting Video Clips Into PowerPoint

B

Bill

I'm have video clips created in a Canon S45 camera. When
I try to insert a clip into a powerpoint slide using the
insert, object, media clip commands(as per their help
screen within pp), I get the following message.

"Video not available, cannot find "vids.mjpg" decompressor

I would appreciate some help, rather than suggesting that
I buy a MAC.

Thanks

TAJ has suggested renaming the video clip. See the tip near the bottom of
this page --

Well, that site seems to be down right now, and I can't remember the exact
solution. If the video is an MPEG, rename it with an AVI extension. If it's
an AVI, rename it to MPEG. I think it's one of those.

What Echo Said....

rename the .avi to .mpg
use insert>movies and files>movie>
The website is down.
