Inserting a (TIFF) picture into a Word 2002

When inserting a (TIFF) picture into a Word 2002 document,
Word displays the picture as a blank box in the document.
Microsoft published Q329985. Still I can not find a
solution for the problem.

I need help.

Have you verified that you do not have "Picture placeholders" checked on the
View tab of Tools | Options?

I did check that. I do not have "Picture placeholders" checked.

Any other ideas? I know that the latest SP3 does not solve the problem.

After I read Q329985, I installed SP3 that I thought will take care of this
issue but still I am having troubles.

Do you have any idea . What could I try now?

Microsoft does not have a file to fix this problem?
