Inserting a form based on a crosstab query

Dear All,

I need to insert a form based on a crosstab query into a parent form. However, after the subform is inserted I recieve the following message "You can't use a pass-through query or a non-fixed-column crosstab query as a record source for a subform or subreport. Before you bind the subform or subreport to a crosstab query, set the query's ColumnHeadings property."
Needless to say I've meddled witht the ColumnHeadings but to no avail.
If somebody can point me in the right direction, it would be VERY much appreciated.

Thanks

Greg

What do you mean by "I've meddled witht the ColumnHeadings"? Have you set
all of the column headings in this property?

Duane,

I've actually worked it out, although the answer still doesn't make sense. In essence, you can successfully create a crosstab using the query grid. Running this query returns perfect results. However, when you insert that query (via a form) as a subform, the query's ColumnHeadings Property needs to be populated with Column Names.
Any it seems to work but still doesn't quite add up.
Thanks for your reply.
