How do I set the ColumnHeadings property?

I have a report based on a Crosstab query. So far, so good. Then I added a
subreport also based on a Crosstab query to the footer. Now when I open the
report I get an error, "...you can't use a non-fixed column crosstab query as
the record source for a subreport...set the query's ColumnHeadings property
first." Fine, so I need to set the ColumnHeadings property. But how do I do
that? I'm sure it's around here somewhere but I can't find it. Nor does
Help have anything to say about it (big surprise).

So, someone please enlighten me; where do I find the elusive Column Headings
property? And when I find it, what should I set it to? What does it do??

Thanks for help with my basic questions. . . . .

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm using Access 2007. Not sure if that will
make a difference.

Switch your query to design view
Show the properties of the query (right-click on blank area in top of design
view), in the column properties enter the headings of the columns separated by
a comma or semi-colon.

John,

Thank you! I had the properties window open, but I obviously hadn't clicked
in the right place; your detailed instructions were just what I needed. Very
frustrating to have successfully executed a tricky Crosstab and subreport
only to get tripped up on something so basic!

Thanks again.

P.S. Am I right in thinking that this will cause all column headings to
appear, even if there is no data?

Yes, you are correct all the column headings that you enter will appear AND
ONLY the column headings you enter will appear. So if you have a typing error
you will have a column that has no data even though the column appears correct.
