insert Excel file into powerpoint

Hi -
I need to urgently insert an .xls file into Powerpoint. I don't want to past
data or use the Paste Special "MS Excel Worksheet" function. Just trying to
imbed a file so that I can access it if necessary during my presentation.

Sorry, forgot the second step:

Right click on the Excel Object
Left click on Action Settings
Choose Object Action, Edit
Click ok.

The spreadsheet will open for editing during the presentation if you click
on it.
