Inetexplorer.ie6 browser fouled HP Director?

I installed the latest version of Internet Explorer 7. Now my HP
Director (desktop icon), which controls all my HP hardware, particularly
Scanjet 4070 Photosmart Scanner, won't activate. I can access the scanner
through HP Image Zone, but it is a much more complicated operation. How do
I fix this problem or get rid of IE 7. I don't really need whatever IE 7 is
supposed to provide if it messes up my HP stuff.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes. Yes keep IE, yes rant at HP. Show them, you're not the first, that IE7
is NOT beta any more. You will have no updates now but, yeah, it will come
down the HP pipe when they get off their butts and stop spying as hard on
the reporters as the reporters are spying on them. Meh... Now they'll be
searching through my trash and I'm not even a reporter or an HP employee. Go
figure.

Really though, stick with IE7.
