Incomplete Installation/Can't Complete Install, Can't Remove

The beta of MS-AntiSpyware had been on my computer for months and running
well when an update changed the program to Windows Defender. Windows Defender
only partially installed. There's no desktop icon for it. It's not on my list
of programs. When I try to remove it, it's not listed as one of the programs
on my add/remove list.

My computer has run more slowly and chrashed more often since the "update"
that partially installed Windows Defender.

I've tried going to the MS web site and downloading a new copy of WD. I
saved to desktop, but when I try to install, it tells me that Windows
Defender is already on my system.

How do I remove (or complete installation) of this program? What happens if
I just delete the files in the Windows Defender folder? Thanks in advance
for helping solve this problem.

I wºuld recommend you use the Search For: box, and enter Fred in
installation NG.
