In WinXP, scrolling with mouse makes sound...

I'm using a WinXP PC on a Dell PC with a Microsoft wireless optical mouse...

When I scroll up and down on a view (move the verticle slide bar on the
right side of the screen up and down), there's a very slight "sliding" SOUND
coming from the speakers. (This happens in various applications, IE,
Outlook, Word, etc.)

Is there a way to turn it off? I didn't see anything in the mouse setup,
would it be a thing in WinXP? I ruled out EMF interference, it's "optical"
and only does it when sliding. It almost sounds like someone engineered in
an "audible feedback", but it's annoying.

Thanks,
George

I had a problem like this, i fixed it by moving my USB mouse to PS2 with an
adaptor. also try Muting your line IN and turning off microphone gain
