In powerpoint how can I animate a ball to look like it is bounci.

I am trying to do a powerpoint presentation. I have a picture of a
basketball and I would like to animate it. I want the ball to look like it is
bouncing across the screen. I am not having in luck with this.

What version of PPT are you using? With PPT 2002 and later, it is fairly
easy to do this using motion paths (part of custom animations). With PPT
2000 and earlier, it is not very easy or intuitive - you need to have
multiple objects that appear and disappear.
