In IE6--Opening new window doesn't work!

E

Ellen Morrison

Please go to this site [I'm a web developer and created
this site];

http://www.cleonecampground.com/

Click either the graphic link, "Tide Chart" or the text
link in the NavBar, "Tide Chart for Ft. Bragg" and in IE6,
a window opens but nothing happens. Works fine in Mozilla,
Netscape and IE 5.5/lower. Also, strange, if when window
opens in IE6 and you hit "stop" button, than "Refresh"
TaTa!! the window loads with the Tide Chart content!
Man, what gives [another Microsoft Moment--brought to you
by Billy Boy!]
Any body got ANY solutions for this problemo? Works fine in
ALL other browsers but IE6.
Thanks,
Ellen
PS.. Had to use Mozilla JUST to make this post cause the
new window ["New Post"] wouldn't EVEN open on my laptop
with IE6.

Frank,

I have IE6 [6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920 -- to be
specific] and wonder what kind of setting I would look for
that could cause MY IE6 from viewing the Tides contents.
The window opens but no content. In my Internet settings is
there something that needs to be changed? On my PC w/IE5.5,
it works fine and also, with Mozilla, on both the laptop &
PC. I don't know what settings could affect the content
from being viewed in IE6. Thanks for your insight in advance.

See if this works:
1. Quit all programs that are running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll
succeeded"
message, click OK.

If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2
through 4 for each of
the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with
each of the file
names below):
Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll (Windows XP and Windows 2000 only)

Hope this helps,
Debbie
