Impossible launch regedit !

Hi,

my son has since couple of days new problem : impossible to launch regedit :
be it via start-execute, or by trying to fuse a reg file, safe mode or
normal mode.

Result is allways that a window flashes ( probably regedit window) so fast
we can't notcie anything. No error message at all : just nothing.
If we try to fuse a reg file into the registry same happens, and reg file is
NOT fused in !

He is admin on that PC ( and we do not get an error message stating he
doesn't have the rights)

Any idea ?

The first thing for your son to do is scan for viruses with a current
version (not earlier than 2003) antivirus using updated definitions
because this is a symptom of viral infection.
