Importing from Paradox

R

Rosemary

A co-worker got a new computer and is trying to import her
Paradox files into Access. Importing isn't the
problem...but the tables are still showing within the
database as a paradox table, and we cannot add new data
(the new record function is not available.) What should
we do? Thank you.

What, exactly, do you mean "Tables are still showing within the database as
a paradox Table"? It is a physical impossibility to have a Paradox Table
_within_ an "Access" (Jet or other database engine) database, so there is
not, AFAIK, any way for the "tables to show as a Paradox Table".

What might seem to be an exception is that you can link to a Paradox Table,
and use it where is, as is -- in that case, there will be a TableDef within
the Access database whose Connect string indicates the linked Table, but the
Paradox Table still remains external.
